Trailblazer Series

In 2017, Major League Baseball and USA Baseball launched the inaugural Trailblazer Series for female baseball players, built around Jackie Robinson Day. The 2026 Trailblazer Series will take place from April 16-19, 2026 and will feature competitive play, world-class instruction, and unique educational opportunities. Participants will have the unique opportunity to celebrate Jackie Robinson's legacy at Jackie's namesake facility in the days following Jackie Robinson Day, while learning from current and former members of the USA Baseball Women's National Team and others in the baseball industry. 

Eligibility: Female baseball players who are in high school graduation classes of 2030, 2031, or 2032. Additionally, to be eligible, athletes must be at least 12 years old as of January 1, 2026 (must turn 12 prior to such date), and no athlete may turn 14 earlier than January 1, 2026 to be considered for this event.

*APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETE (INCLUSIVE OF VIDEO SUBMISSIONS, AS APPLICABLE PER THE BELOW) AND RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 11:59PM ET ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2025, TO BE CONSIDERED. Note, the Trailblazer Series is a limited-capacity event, and completion of an application does not guarantee your athlete a spot for the event. As such the selection committee, considers various factors in the selection process (geography, mix of position, etc.). Note for class of 2030 and 2031, significant weight is placed on the skills showcased in the videos required of the application. All applicants will be notified of application status and any next steps no later than Friday, December 19, 2025.

*ALL APPLICANTS IN THE CLASS OF 2030 OR 2031 MUST SUBMIT SKILLS VIDEO(S) TO BE CONSIDERED.  There is an additional form that needs to be completed that corresponds with the skills video component. A link to that form will be provided via email following completion of the application otherwise.

**Cost for Trailblazer Series participants' lodging, meals, and air travel (if applicable) to/from Vero Beach will be covered.
